DaqScribe wins work
NNBW staff, 5/17/2010
DaqScribe Solutions LLC of Carson City won a government contract worth $250,000 to provide electrical testing and measurement instrumentation to the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Houston. NASA/JSC has a requirement for Data Acquisition System (DAS) upgrade that is required to support all the Acoustic, Vibration and Modal tests of all NASA's space related programs in the Vibration Acoustic Test Facility (VATF).NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from DaqScribe Solutions, LLC. DaqScribe Solutions provides all hardware components and software in their own proprietary products for the stand alone system, without networking to record all the data up to 512 channels per unit. No other vendor can provide hardware 100% compatible, inter-changeable, mixed match and configuration using their unique software, to NASA's existing systems. All tests being performed cannot be repeated, so the data recorded is extremely important to the reliability and accuracy. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time on 4/19/10. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
