The critical element of any data acquisition system solution is the software which glues all of the building blocks together. A software package must allow setting up and calibrating the hardware elements. It must define the signal conditioning properties, select appropriate A/D sampling rates, and provide a means of previewing the data during set up and pre-test operations. The data recording tools should allow for various types of data collection, including, transient, continuous, and interval recording.

In today’s world of very complex testing requirements, each test creates large data files and a good software package must have the facility to manage terabytes of files efficiently. The software should have the ability to take a “Quick Look” at the data at the completion of the recording process.
Also, a good software package should have the facility for post processing of data. Our philosophy is to make use of the many excellent commercially available analysis packages on the market today rather than re-inventing the wheel. Our intention is to provide the data in virtually ANY user defined format. We have created a Data File Utility which converts the raw data into formats readable by all of the major post processing packages, such as, LabView, Matlab, DaDISP and others. We are committed to providing additional formats as necessary.
